The Best Way to Read the Bible

To be honest, there are many ways to read the Bible as indicated by the sheer number of Bible reading plans available out there. Most reading plans were created because just reading the Bible from beginning to end, from cover to cover, can feel tedious during the historical parts that may be harder to understand. And, there are Bible reading plans that take someone through the whole Bible in one year; there are other Bible reading plans that go through parts of the Bible in a week or a month or a certain number of days around a theme.

What is the best Bible reading plan for you? The best one is the one that you commit to using every day. Like that popular athletic shoe brand's advertising slogan says, "just do it."

How to Read the Bible in the New Year

What is the best way to read the Bible? Well, think about it. There are basically 3 ways to read the Bible every day:

1. using a printed Bible

2. using a mobile device with a Bible app

2. reading an email

Choose one of these ways–print, mobile, or email–and then do it once a day, every day. If one way doesn't work for you, for whatever reason that you're stalled or fall behind the plan's schedule, it's okay, just pick up where you left off and start again. And you can choose a different reading plan that is shorter than a year, because it's easier to reach a shorter milestone than a very long one. The point is not to be perfect; just keep going.

May God richly bless the reading of His Word in your life.
