Celebration of the Completed American Sign Language Version Bible
On October 26, 2020, American Bible Society President Robert Briggs hosted a special virtual celebration to honor the completion of the American Sign Language Version Bible!
The recording is now available, which includes full ASL translation, and English closed captions, for inclusion to our ASL community and hearing-impaired individuals. What a joy, to share in this milestone accomplishment for the ASL deaf community, fueled by partnership and unity! Feel free to share this video and please pray for the future impact on global deaf communities that can now use this translation as a source-text. God speaks all of our heart languages!
The American Sign Language Version (ASLV) Changes Everything
The ASLV Bible speaks directly to Deaf people in their heart language. The American Sign Language Version is the first Bible by Deaf people for Deaf people. Technology makes worldwide distribution possible to Deaf people everywhere. All that is needed is a computer, tablet, or smart phone.
ASL users can access the full text using Deaf Missions’ website at deafmissions.com/aslv or download the app at deafmissions.com/app.
