About Wycliffe Bible Translators
Founded in 1942, Wycliffe Bible Translators has helped people around the world translate the Bible into their own languages – with a goal of translating the Word of God into all 7,000 languages by 2025.
The organization is an early adopter of .BIBLE domain names with its Wycliffe.Bible and Why.Bible websites, which serve as a platform for its annual report and its new “Why the Bible Matters” creative marketing campaign, respectively.
Officially launching in September, “Why the Bible Matters” campaign aims to spark a global conversation about the power of the Bible among Bible agencies, universities, churches and individuals. Why.Bible will provide resources for its partners to create their own campaigns, which will ultimately become available when the site becomes a portal for sharing the information.
Wycliffe Bible Translators believes that the use of .BIBLE domain extensions help the organization to enhance its digital presence, lead through innovation, and provide an example for other Bible-related agencies.
“We would like to thank the American Bible Society for leading the way on the .BIBLE program, and we are excited to be active in the proliferation and growth of this top level domain,” said Everhart in this podcast.
